RJA #7a: Evaluation of Sources

Book

Frank Schmalleger Criminal Justice: A Brief Introduction: Eight Edition
Upper Saddle River, New Jersey Prentice Hall 2010

The book is a very updated book, on the most recent laws. The book a very informative piece, and is not at all one sided. The book just simply states the facts of all the laws that are currently popular, and in use. It is a very accurate book, and will be a good recourse to use when referring to laws, bills, and acts.

  1. Book: For the book evaluation, I would agree with him on his points. One, it is a timely resource and therefore valuable still. It is most definitely not biased.
Reference: this is a great evaluation of the source for his research question.
Periodical article: My only issue with this eval is whether it is actually non-biased because it is coming from a national news source, who are rarely unbiased.
Website: My same concern as above, with the information coming from a tabloid or newspaper, is the information completely unbiased. the Examiner is a type of online news wiki source, and is written from author's own viewpoint.
